Anthony Muscato Appointed CEO of Harry’s Fresh Foods

Brings More Than 25 Years of Leadership and Operational Experience to Leading Maker of Refrigerated and Packaged Foods

PORTLAND, OR – January 12, 2011 – Harry’s Fresh Foods, a leading producer of chef-inspired refrigerated and packaged foods that serve the retail and foodservice markets, today announced that it has appointed Anthony (Tony) J. Muscato as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

In a career spanning more than 25 years, Muscato, 50, has held several senior management positions in marketing, sales and operations in the foodservice industry in the U.S. and Europe with H.J. Heinz Company. Muscato was also an independent food operations advisor, helping private equity and venture capital firms identify opportunities and drive value for their portfolio companies. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing with the Sabert Corporation.

At H.J. Heinz Company, where Muscato worked for nearly 20 years, he was instrumental in growing businesses of all sizes, bringing both his leadership and entrepreneurial qualities as well as operational know-how to play.  He was responsible for overseeing sales of a more than $1 billion product portfolio within Heinz North American foodservice, including Heinz Ketchup, Condiments and Sauces, Chef Francisco Frozen Soups and Entrees, and Heinz Tomato Products. In Europe, Muscato led the turnaround of a regional Heinz division spread across 15 countries establishing a highly profitable, growing and standalone Pan-European Foodservices Company within an 18-month period.

Founded in 1978, Harry’s Fresh Foods serves the retail and foodservice markets with soups, entrées, sides, sauces and desserts produced at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon. Its products are made from high-quality ingredients with no preservatives, artificial ingredients or food colorings. Harry’s Fresh Foods customers include wholesale club stores, grocers, national restaurant chains, distributors and select other outlets in the U.S. and Canada.

Sun Capital Partners and Main Street Capital Partners jointly acquired Harry’s Fresh Foods in November 2010.
